Leaving Duffy Primary School
Under the Education Act 2004 schools are legally required to maintain an accurate register of the enrolment and attendance of every student on every day when the school is open for attendance.
It is the parents and carers responsibility to notify the school in writing if your child is leaving the school to attend another ACT school (government or non-government), including home education or alternative education or if your family is moving interstate or overseas. We are required to note the name and place of the school your child will be enrolled in to ensure you comply with the ACT Education Compulsory education Student enrolment and Attendance Policy.
Please contact the school in writing to inform us of your intentions or if you require formal information or confirmation about your child's attendance and / or academic progress while attending Duffy Primary School to meet the enrolment requirements for their new school.
Some important things to think about when leaving our school:
- Remember to return any borrowed school property such as library books.
- Give us as much notice as is possible so that personal items can be gathered and returned.
- Let us know your new contact information in case we need to contact you about school photos, school reports or personal items located after you have left.
